Allergens & Allergy-Free Themes
Snacks are personal, and allergies are serious. Here is how MysteryBites handles allergen info so you can pick themes with confidence.
What we track
On our site and in box reveals, we focus on three allergens that matter most for our monthly themes:
- Nuts (peanuts and tree nuts)
- Dairy
- Gluten
Theme cards on the homepage show which of those three a theme contains. Each snack on the QR reveal page lists its own tags too.
Allergy-free themes
Starting November 2026, we plan for at least one theme each month that is free of nuts, dairy, and gluten, with no may-contain warning for those three on the label. That is our working definition of an allergy-free theme for MysteryBites.
Other Canadian priority allergens may still appear in a box. Always read the packaging before you eat.
How to check before you order
- Open this month's themes on the homepage and read the allergen tags on each card.
- Already subscribed? Use the theme picker to lock in your pick by 11:59 PM ET on the 19th.
- When your box arrives, scan the QR code for the full snack list and per-snack allergen details before you dig in.
Important limits
- Formulations change and shared manufacturing lines are common. Labels on the package are the final word.
- We are not a medical service. If you have a severe allergy, review every label carefully or skip snacking when you are unsure.
- Products may be made in facilities that also process nuts, dairy, or gluten even when a snack itself is tagged "None" for those three.
